By Scott O’Connor
This book disturbed me and I yet couldn’t put it down. I’ve just finished reading it and I don’t feel entertained… I feel satisfied and horrified. I feel … educated? This book is so well written that I feel like I experienced it and honestly, the experience is so terrible that I’m thankful I didn’t.
Here it is 2:57am and I’m writing a book review, because I couldn’t put the book down. I needed to know what was going to happen next… it was crazy. I didn’t think for a second that the book wasn’t true. That every single thing detailed wasn’t possible and hadn’t happened… wasn’t happening.
I really can’t tell you much more without giving you some kinds of expectations and I don’t want to spoil it. I think going in clean is the best way to get through it.
In retrospect, I’m glad I read it.
I will say this … this is no “Mill River Recluse”.
