The Precipice: A Novel (Mike Bowditch Mysteries) Paul Doiron – Book Review by Bernice

The Precipice: A Novel (Mike Bowditch Mysteries)
By Paul Doiron

Rating: ★★★★½

Is this the best story I’ve ever read? nope. Was it fun to read, and interesting, and at times riveting, absolutely yes. It was a gentle roller coaster ride with the main character who is likeable, believable, and did I mention likeable? Mike Bowditch, is smart… in many ways, and others… well, you’ll just have to read the book. You know I have a severe no spoiler rule, I won’t tell you much that you can’t read on the jacket, I’ll just tell you that I like this book and will be reading more …

I gave this book a little extra bump because the author was able to entertain without extreme gore or sex. Yes, there was a bit of both, but he artfully painted the picture without going into the “gorey details” no pun intended…

Oh, and did I mention I’m in Maine on vacation now, reading this murder mystery set in Maine? HA HA HA HA HA
