By Richard L. Mabry, M.D.
Pretty good book. I wouldn’t have wanted to have paid full price for it, but I would say, a pretty good book.
Here’s what I liked. The main character was an intelligent woman and althougg the plot could have lent itself to more than one cliche’ .. it didn’t. Each time I thought… oh, that’s who is doing this… another suspect surfaced.. that’s what I liked. This book kept me guessing.
Why then, do I say the book was pretty good… and not fantastic or great? I found it a bit fragmented. There were several areas during the book where I just felt like the author was throwing in information for no apparent reason. It didn’t further the story, it wasn’t a sub story (or if it was it wasn’t really well written)
I will say that there were some real interesting parts and like I said, it kept me guessing, I suppose it was the fragmented portions that weren’t confusing as much as they were bewildering… You know, you read it and think… “Ok, so.. you telling me this because….”
Anyway, not a bad read, but not a great one either. Just ok.
