This is a great book with main character kind, hard working and fiesty Shannon Hammer. Shannon runs a construction company and that’s why this is a “fixer upper mystery.” If you’ve read any of the other books in this series, you know that Shannon has a propensity for finding dead bodies.
This book is centered around a group of friends and several murders, a “green convention” and more! It’s fun and easy to read. The characters are believable and funny and warm hearted and quirky. There are a lot of moving parts, but the author keeps it all together and the reader is never lost in the action. This is a fun relaxing read, I read it in several days only devoting those moments before bed. Here’s the thing.. it’s not so captivating that you can’t put it down and stay up all night reading, but it is captivating enough that I looked forward to getting back to it, and when the weekend came, I stayed in bed until it was done.
I give it two chubby thumbs up.
