One definite chubby thumb up…. and the other one is wavering.
I enjoyed this book. I can’t put my finger on the reason for my less then stellar rating… actually that’s not true. I can. My honest opinion is… too many people die. Too many people that are just random people, then too many people that are really really close to the main characters… I am talking about a lot of people. So many people that I’d figure there will only be enough people left for 2 more books in the Manny Williams series!
(little book review joke there)
Other than the extraordinary number of people dieing… the book was enjoyable. There were a lot of twists and turns that were completely believable and only helped move the book forward with it’s riveting suspense… I liked Manny Williams and his partner and his friends… and I liked the other assorted law enforcement people… and I liked the setting and I didn’t like the villian….
So, why, I keep asking myself why don’t I LOVE this book… I have loved books for less.
Maybe it’s just me.
However I will say this… this book on Kindle was 99 cents. I would ABSOLUTELY suggest you buy this book for 99 cents, because it isn’t a bad read. But there is something about this book that is missing. Maybe the depth of characters… I don’t know. Somethin’
So… if you figure it out, let me know. But I will stand by my review… for the money the books not a bad read. I wouldn’t buy the hard cover.
