Can You Keep A Secret?
By Sophie Kinsella
I was very entertained by this book, as usual I won’t be giving you any details so I won’t create any unintentional expectations, but I will tell you that I was surprised and delighted by the middle and end of the book.
It’s not that the beginning was bad… or really even slow… it was sort of Hmmmmmm I guess, it took me a little while to get the rhythm. It took me a little while to enter the conversation, so to speak. Once I was “in” and understood that I was, then I totally got it… and I really enjoyed it.
The ONLY reason this book isn’t a FIVE is because I sort of guessed where it was going. It was fantastic and wonderful getting there, but I sort of knew where we would have ended up… I was very very happy with the ending and am delighted to offer this book.
While there is adult language and situations, I am happy to say the writer did a fantastic job keep the story out of the sewer. It really was a good book. Funny, yes, there were many times I laughed outloud, and sad, and happy and a few surprises… surprised mostly that the writer was able to keep the seemier parts of the story out of the gutter. KUDOS!
Really liked this book. I will be looking for more.
