A Little Death in Dixie – Lisa Turner ~ A Book Review by Bernice

A little Death in Dixie by Lisa Turner

Rating: ★★★★☆

I almost completely enjoyed this book. It was truly riveting and spellbinding. The value of understanding human nature and conveying it masterfully is not lost on this author. It is wonderful. I thoroughly enjoyed this book. There wasn’t a moment of frustration or confusion… however the the characters elicited so many emotions from pride, disappointment, humor and a melancholy taste of the status quo.

The only reason this book didn’t earn a full fledge 5 stars is simple… I don’t have a taste for some of the sordid details and while they were certainly NOT delved into …. I think the book could have been just as good or better with the many substories it contained and didn’t need a certain twist that alienated me.

You be the judge.
